Haloumi 芝士希腊餐


以上这一碟是我男友去年为我炮制的希腊料理。
没有名堂,是我男友自己编出来的。呵呵~

碟子里的马铃薯、番茄和菠菜(spinach) 对我来说都不陌生,
反而好奇的是中间那切成块的烤羊肉 (Roast lamb)
右角下 那被煎成黑黑的 Haloumi slice
(不好意思,照片是手机拍的)

之前有跟Emile 提到说 Haloumi 好好吃。
没错,就是这个了!

Haloumi 的柔软度和Mozzarella很相似(主要成分是羊奶)。
还带有点点咸味和薄荷味。
奶味却没有Parmesan 浓,
最适合那些爱吃pizza 又很怕奶味重的人。

千万要记得!
Haloumi 就只有一种烹调法。
就是煎(Pan-fry)。
而且煮的时候油是不用多的。
稍微两面煎一下就可以吃了。

相信Haloumi cheese 应该能在大马超市里找到咯!

1. Slice cheese into thin pieces.

2. Drizzle a smattering of olive oil onto a hot non stick pan .

3. In less than a minute, flip it until a nice golden brown forms.

This Haloumi look delicious, my daughter would love it as she likes to eat cheese.I'm going to Jusco today and will definitely look for this cheese. But not sure "Kampungkayell" bought from TMC is refer to which supermarket ...

Not sure if he was referring to Tesco??? Hope you could find it in Jusco Emile~ Finger's crossed!

I can't find it in Jusco Klang, I will try again in Jusco One Utama Damansara.

sigh... How I wish we could share the taste of haloumi together~ yea, I thought it would be hard to find it in msia too as I have never had it before until I come here... Oh Jusco 1U, please have it!!! =D
